Serving size : 20 med Pcs in a med thaali
Akkha Moong (with chilka) – 200gms
Green chillies – 3
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Coriander – half cup, finely chopped
Grated Coconut – 1 tbsp
Rawa – 1tbsp
Butter – to grease the thaali
Soak the moong for one night. Next day morning, grind it with green chillies, coriander, grated coconut and salt. Remove the ground mixture in a bowl. Add Oats and Rawa (1tbsp each). Add the finely chopped onions too. Grease a thaali with little butter and fill the mixture in the thaali. Fill little water in a cooker, and steam this thaali for 5 – 10mins. Make sure to cover the thaali with a lid before steaming. Switch off the gas and check the Dhoklas with the help of a toothpick. If nothing sticks to the toothpick, your delicious and nutritious Dhoklas are ready to serve! Alternatively you can give a tadka of mustard seeds, jeera and kadipatta in little oil and pour it over the Dhoklas.
P. S – Its an extremely nutritious and filling recipe. Extremely high in protein and absolutely easy to make!
