I bet you all did not know about this new trend or as they might put it across – a ‘ritual’, that I am about to reveal. Before I tell you this let me ask you first, how do you relieve your stress after a tiring day? Well for some it might be meditation, connecting with friends or engaging in hobbies. Amongst this our Gen-Z’s have come up with a new ‘ritual’ of relieving their stress by consuming ‘FRIDGE CIGARETTES’. What is it you might ask? Well, when we asked them, they told us it is their ‘non – nicotine smoke break to relieve stress’. I know, I know, I’ve built a lot of suspense but let me break this down for you. A Fridge Cigarette refers to an ice – cold can of Diet coke and the science of relieving stress through it is the satisfaction of popping that icy can and consuming it, which in return manages stress and gives the consumer a quick mental break. The Gen-Z clan supported this by saying “It is not as bad as smoking!”, but let me tell you it’s not doing you any good either! I know this might look like a very small thing but depending on this method of relieving stress is a BIG NO. Let me share with you what this can of Diet Coke is doing to your body; relying to this method is increases your caffeine intake which in return will cause you sleep and digestive issues in short term and cardiovascular issues in the long run. To add onto to that you really want a can of sugary drink to regulate your emotions???
